Gustavs Marcis Spilva is an eight-year-old boy from Vecpiebalga, his mobility from birth is restricted, so members of charity run Riga-Valmiera 107 km and volunteers in cooperation with non-profit organisation Ziedot.lv fundraise to buy a TOBII – large screen speech generating device that enables effective communication in all forms – voice output and environmental control.
The historical competition has been awarded the International Ultramarathon Association (IAU) Bronze quality Label for the first time. To get closer to the 1992 track record (8:01:38 Gerog Jermolajev), we’ve raised the refreshment points (CP) from 6 to 9.
